context of environment. The answers will identify the concurrent relationships between physical activity, recreational interactions and academic performance. "Betch ya, can't eat just one!

Trymgym

TrymGym is getting personal and it's all about YOU ! The focus of the TrymGym program is on three core components; Nutrition Education, Physical Activity and Behaviour Change. Over the eight weeks of the program, you will exercise twice a week and once per week attend an education session. The exercise sessions are small group personal training sessions, led by Personal Trainers, who are Kinesiologists with advanced certification through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. Each class will have two Personal Trainers, one of which is a lead trainer. The lead trainer will also be teaching the behaviour change components of the education sessions. A Registered Dietician will be working with you to develop individual guidelines to healthy eating as well as delivering the nutrition information in the education sessions. This program can be custom fit to suit your company and offered on site.

Healthstyles

This 8 week program offers 2 components, Nutrition and Behaviour Change geared towards weight loss. A Registered Dietician will be working with you to develop individual guidelines to healthy eating as well as delivering the nutrition information in the sessions. Specific behaviour adaptations will also be taught to ensure lifestyle is changed for successful long term weight loss. This program can be custom fit to suit your company and offered on site.

Heart Disease in Women

It has different rhythm. This seminar is geared towards women and looks at how to prevent heart disease along with the risk factors associated with it.

Build It, Break It, and Store It

A closet look @ Osteoporosis. This condition affects women as they age, learn how to prevent osteoporosis and know the signs to look for before it happens. Learn the importance of strengthening your bones and protecting them in order to reduce your risk of developing osteoporosis.

Why is There an Obesity Epidemic in Humans Verses Sloths?

One of these is similar to a turtle, one is like a princess, and one is almost blind, but their all capable of being smooth movers! This session will be a compilation of moving tips and the goal is to help you run, walk, dance and expend energy hassle free! Oh... and we might have a bit of fun doing it.

Shift Work and Lifestyle
Shift work can place added stress on individuals. This seminar will look at good vs. bad stress and how the body is affected. Coping mechanisms will be learned in order to deal with added stress. We will also discuss active living, what this means as well as the benefits of an active lifestyle in order to counter balance the effects of shift work.

Shift Work and Nutrition
Employees whose jobs involve shift work need a different strategy in order to balance nutrition. Such as the timing of meals and being in tune to the quantity of food needed for everyday, physical training and the night shift. We will look at shift work as it relates to: circadian rhythms, health risks, sleep, alertness/fatigue and food choices and timing. Tips on menu planning, shopping tips and strategies to help eating out will also be discussed.
